Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below we inform you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about the processing of personal data on this website.
1. Controller

2. Provision of the website & server log files
On every access, information is automatically stored in server log files (truncated IP address, date/time, file requested, browser type, operating system). This processing serves the secure and stable operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the log files are deleted after a short period.
3. Hosting
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc.; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. For any transfer to the USA, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption (“https://”).
5. “Ask Professor Digital” (AI assistant)
Your inputs are transmitted server-side to an AI provider with processing in the EU in order to generate a response. No personal data and no IP addresses are stored or logged in connection with your requests; your inputs are not used to train AI models. Please do not enter any personal data of your pupils or third parties. Note: AI answers can contain errors and are for orientation only (see disclaimer).
6. Audience measurement
We use a cookieless audience measurement hosted in the EU. No cookies are set and no personal profiles are created (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No advertising tracking.
7. Cookies
We use exclusively technically necessary cookies (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Sec. 25(2) TDDDG); a consent banner is not required for this.
8. Ordering books & payment
To process book orders, we process your order and invoicing data for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Payment processing and invoicing including VAT are handled by the payment service provider Stripe; full payment data is not stored by us. Digital books are provided as online reading access (no download). Invoice-relevant data is retained in accordance with the statutory retention periods.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact: datenschutz@professor-digital.de.
